hopes to follow in her family's footsteps and write more history for
the Hart family. Going by the name of Natalya, Nattie has
made an immediate impact on Friday Night SmackDown! as she looks to

Natalya didn’t win the Divas Championship tonight at the Great American Bash, unfortunately. Results below:
Tonight, before a capacity crowd at The Great American Bash, Michelle McCool defeated Natalya to become WWE’s first-ever Divas Champion. After a long road of sacrifice and hard work, McCool finally cemented her place in history, setting an incredibly high bar for any Diva bold enough to come after her and the gold.
The new championship was contested in a match every bit as praiseworthy as the title itself. It was a question of who wanted it more in this battle of fierce blows by both Divas combined with a barrage of painful submission holds by Natalya. But, despite Natalya’s vicious technical skills, the hand of irony intervened. Michelle McCool managed to reverse Natalya’s second Sharpshooter attempt to win with a submission hold of her own.
Going into to the event, a victory by Natalya seemed almost inevitable. She was trained in the Hart family Dungeon where she picked up an arsenal of dangerous maneuvers – including the Sharpshooter. Natalya earned her opportunity to fight for the title in the first Golden Dreams Match on the very night the new title was announced, giving her time to form an effective strategy and scout out her possible opponents. On top of that, McCool was forced to undertake an uphill battle for weeks to prove herself to SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero before winning the second Golden Dreams Match which qualified her to face Natalya.
However, after several heated exchanges on Friday Night SmackDown, it was clear that neither Superstar would was going to go down without a fight.
After beating the odds, Michelle has established herself as the top Diva on Friday nights. But now that she has reached the top of the mountain, she can rest assured that the Sexiest Woman on Television will be coming to knock her off her throne.

Natalya made her pay per view debut last night at Backlash and was on the winning team, as her and teammates Beth Phoenix, Melina, Jillian, Victoria and Layla scored a win over Team Mickie:
The heel team came out with Beth Phoenix leading the way, and her music playing. The announcers (Lawler & Ross) discussed Phoenix losing the Women’s Title to Mickie James. The babyface team came out to Mickie’s music. Phoenix and McCool started out. McCool hit a dropkick and went for a belly to belly suplex, but Phoenix hit a knee to the gut but missed a charge. McCool hit some shots, but Phoenix powerslammed her. Melina tagged in and threw McCool face first into the mat, then applied a bridging chinlock. Melina hit a sunset flip, but McCool rolled through it and hit a dropkick. Mickie James tagged in and traded shots with Melina. James hit a flying headscissors and a clothesline. Natalya tagged in, but Mickie got the better of the exchange at first, only for Natalya to deck her and knock Cherry off the apron as well. Victoria came in and missed her standing moonsault on Mickie in the ring. Meanwhile, Cherry walked around the ring and pulled Natalya off the apron, leading to a brief brawl on the outside. Things settled down, and we had Ashley giving Jillian a slow motion rana. Phoenix kicked Ashley from the apron, then tagged in and worked her over with a cobra clutch. Phoenix used a double chicken wing, but Ashley rolled out of it, kicking Layla, who was running in, as she did so. Mickie was hit by Phoenix, and Mickie ran in and gave her a DDT. We then went into a sequence of every woman running in and giving her finisher to someone else, who would then roll to the floor. The crowd actually got into this segment. It ended with Phoenix getting back in and giving Ashley a fisherwoman’s suplex for the pin at the six minute mark. (PWInsider)

At Backlash, the WWE Diva divide comes to a head as new Women’s Champion Mickie James captains a team of the Sexiest Women on Television against former titleholder Beth Phoenix and her squad of sultry competitors.
Just more than one week ago, Mickie scored one of the biggest victories of her career against The Glamazon, ending Phoenix’s lengthy reign as Women’s Champion. But before she could celebrate, Mickie found herself confronted by the former champion, who argued that the loss was nothing more than a fluke, a slap in the face to The Glamazon. Then, in front of a ring full of Divas, SmackDown’s Michelle McCool used an open palm to show Beth the true meaning of such a slap.
The ensuing all-out melee ultimately ended with the fan favorite femme fatales standing together, united against the oppressively dominant Glamazon and her group of WWE’s more nefarious women. Now, this collision will continue inside the ring in a much more official capacity on Sunday at Baltimore’s 1st Mariner Arena.
